These Community Guidelines apply to all Stoic Angels community spaces, including the membership platform, Discord, live sessions, workshops, retreats, group trips, social media channels, and any other space where members interact with one another or with the Stoic Angels team.
These Guidelines are incorporated into and form part of the Stoic Angels Terms and Conditions. They should be read together with our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer.
By joining or participating in any Stoic Angels community space, you agree to follow these Guidelines.
Our Standards
Stoic Angels is a self improvement community built around connection, personal responsibility, and mutual respect across cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Every community member, including the Stoic Angels team, is held to the same standards. We maintain zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or cruelty in any form.
What We Expect
Kindness. Approach every interaction with empathy and consideration. Choose actions that lead to positive outcomes for the people around you.
Respect. Whether online, on social media, or in person, honor other people's boundaries and personal differences.
Mindfulness. Be intentional with your words and actions. We are here to support one another, not to diminish anyone.
Accountability. Your actions affect not just you, but others too. Take full responsibility for your choices and behavior.
Inclusivity. Show up as you are and extend that same freedom to others.
Curiosity. If you find yourself feeling defensive about these Guidelines or in interactions with the community, pause and reflect. Consider what you might learn from someone who sees the world differently.
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct will not be tolerated in any Stoic Angels community space:
Harassment. Any form of hate speech, violence, harassment, or bullying based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, body image, or any other identity.
Discrimination. Discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
Privacy Violations. Sharing overly personal information about others without their consent, sharing screenshots of private conversations, or violating anyone's stated boundaries. When in doubt, get explicit consent first.
Violence. No form of violence, threats of violence, or aggressive behavior toward anyone, regardless of how it is expressed.
Illegal Activities. Promoting or engaging in illegal activities.
Harmful Content. Sharing or creating content that is reasonably likely to harm the wellbeing, safety, privacy, or financial security of others.
Spam and Solicitation. Excessive self-promotion, spam, or unsolicited commercial solicitations without prior approval.
Impersonation. Impersonating Mae, the Stoic Angels team, or other community members.
Misleading Information. Deliberately sharing false or misleading information that could place others at risk.
Approach
We believe in transparency, with safety as the priority.
The Stoic Angels team will work to understand every perspective when something goes wrong or appears to breach these Guidelines. We reserve the right to investigate incidents thoroughly when necessary.
Mistakes happen, and no one is expected to be perfect. When Guidelines are violated, we aim to encourage growth and learning where appropriate. We reserve the right to implement probationary measures for lesser violations when that approach serves the community.
The safety of our community members is our highest priority, and enforcement decisions will always be made with the wellbeing of the broader community in mind.
Consequences
Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, consequences may include:
- A warning with an opportunity for education and dialogue;
- Temporary suspension from community spaces;
- Permanent removal from community spaces;
- Removal from group trips with no refund;
- Blocking or banning from social media platforms; or
- Legal action where necessary.
When necessary to protect the community, we may limit or remove access to community spaces, events, or trips after a violation of these Guidelines.
Reporting
Your input and feedback are always welcome. If you witness any violations or have concerns, please provide as much information as possible, and we will follow up where needed.
To report an issue, contact us at: [email protected]
All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality to the extent reasonably possible.
Additional Guidelines for Group Trip Participants
If you are joining us on a group trip, the following additional expectations apply to protect the safety and comfort of all travelers.
Trip Specific Expectations
Personal Spaces. Do not enter personal spaces such as hotel rooms, private accommodations, or restricted areas without permission. Respect physical boundaries at all times.
Weapons. No guns, firearms, or weapons of any kind are allowed on trips.
Substance Use. Be mindful and responsible with alcohol consumption. Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited. Do not pressure others to interact with anything they are not comfortable with.
Punctuality. Respect the group's time by being punctual for scheduled activities and transportation.
Safety. Follow all safety instructions provided by trip leaders, local guides, and venue staff. Do not engage in reckless behavior that could endanger yourself or others.
Cultural Sensitivity. When traveling to different locations, respect local customs, traditions, and laws. Be a respectful representative of our community.
Group Dynamics. Remember that you are part of a group. Be considerate of other people's needs, preferences, and comfort levels. Not everyone will want to participate in every activity, and that is perfectly acceptable.
Financial Responsibility. Honor all financial commitments related to the trip. Respect shared expenses and contribute fairly when appropriate.
Trip Specific Consequences
In serious situations involving safety concerns, harassment, illegal activity, or conduct that places others at risk, immediate removal from the trip may be necessary. Local authorities may also be contacted when appropriate. Our priority is to protect the safety and experience of all participants.
